Nick Hawkins at Fen Edge Wargaming has added many excellent 6mm models of WWII airplane concepts to his line. Most are German, but there are also Japanese, Italian, French, and British designs, some very strange. The models are in WSF (white strong flexible) material), so are both robust and inexpensive. As far as I can tell, they're perfectly proportioned and have as much detail as you need in this small scale. Some of his 1/200-scale models are so small that they don't look out of place in a 1/300-scale collection. If you like exotic aircraft, I strongly encourage you to check out Nick's work at link
