Hello, Completed our first game last night and I documented the carnage. link We made our share of mistakes with the rules and tactics. Nothing game changing with the rules. As for the tactics, well that is why we play to learn. ;) Enjoy! |

Thanks an interesting read. Interesting that your lad decided not to pay off the casualties – farsighted but clearly a bit of a gamble if you have a low shatter point and are using columns. I intend to pay off as many as I can as my default position and learn the hard way! |

Definitely a learning game in many areas. I doubt either of us will ever use a dense formation if facing canister is even a possibility. I believe he had some good cards in his hand he was planning ahead to use. Really does not matter if the troops are all gone. |

attacking in dense columns against fresh enemy is certainly a risky thing to do especially when you don't bolster their morale with the cards. Paul |
