I have just painted up this superb OOP Glorantha figure which I picked up for less that £2.00 GBP on eBay back in June. Really pleased with the way he turned out – could be a stand in figure for Herakles if needed, or of course some other lion-slaying hero. I'll be using him for SBH in the immediate future, but he's primed and ready to go for OGAM should the need arise.

Cheers

Yes, very well done.

Nice figure, I don't recall that particular Glorantha sculpt. You know who made him originally? Not one of the Lance & Laser/Armorcast range AFAIK.

Really nice, great figure and paint job

Cheers gents.

ChiefLackey Rich, I had never heard of the range until I saw this blog post a few years back: link

From that moment I started trawling eBay looking for one. As far as I can tell he was a Lance and Laser figure and came in a pack with two others. I could well be wrong but as I say, that is my impression.

Oh yeah, Scotty's blog. I knew I'd seen him somewhere before. Maybe I'm just overlooking him in the Armorcast catalog, or maybe that pack didn't get back into production.

Lance and Laser- Basmoli Beastman, perhaps? Certainly a lunar auxiliary.

Dude… I got no idea what you just said…

OTOH, I understood every word. No stranger to Glorantha-speak here.

Want to chat in Tsolyani next? :)

Might have been called a Basmoli berserker or lionman. I, too, am in touch with my inner Gloranthan. :-)

Lance & Laser, #3010. That there's a Lasadag Lion, not a Basmoli Berserker (The basmoli are Praxians, and not necessarily Lunar allies – or enemies – who knows if they've ever met…). The set came with a Household guard (with a 2-handed scimitar) and a Natha Priestess.

Getting out of touch with Glorantha…

doc mcb02 Sep 2013 3:33 p.m. PST

The basmoli fought against the Lunars at Moonbroth.

Hi Roderick, you are quite right! Rusty, I am.

Cheers, Simon

As I said, Doc, getting out of touch.
