I have been reviewing Downtown Scenario D1 which portrays events in April 1965. part of the reason is to work up some USAF aircraft in gull grey and use the F-104's I purchased a while back. The scenario pitches 6 flights of F-105 supported by a CAP flight of either star fighters or Phantoms. I have also changed the thuds to enter with a five minute gap as per "real". For a bit of variation I have changed the RESCAP to be one flight of B-57 and one A-1 skyraider again as per the events on one of the raid days. First up then are the Thuds in natural metal
More to follow on Monday which will be some in-game shots |

As to the weather conditions for ease this is a clear day. Sparker J QAB The area west of Hanoi around where the Red and Black rivers meet.
The actual target is the middle SAM site in the lower left portion
My raid planning has the idea of keeping to the North West of Hanoi rather than swing south on egress. The planning markets are on their blue side just for he photo benefit. They are flipped to the green side for future shots.
If all goes to plan the strike should look something like a procession with the thuds five minutes apart and the CAP keeping an eye on Phuc Yen The scenario has a SAM on a possible egress route which is why I am trying to keep north of it
