Thought you guys may like to read of a recent French Revolutionary War battle report circa 1794. The game write up follows a fictitious encounter between French Republican and Austrian forces in Belgium during that year fought using General De Brigade rules.
The full report on my blog:

Here are a few pictures as a taster:

Many more (and a write up of the game) on the blog site.
Please enjoy, it was a good game.

That's cool. Not very common to see troops of that era.

Great stuff, thanks. I think I even spotted the "Prussian who has his head blown off'' figure next to the Austrian generals.

I'd forgotten about him ottenfeld, fun to paint that guy, body parts all over. Can't remember who did the figure, Foundry perhaps?

I think 1793, 94 in FLanders is barely known, unless you are at primary school, grand old duke of york!!!

I like the allied army, dutch, Hanoverian, Hessian, AUstrian, and the battle of Hondshoote, is a fascinating battle, almost 18th century meets the future grand army.

I have started organising armies, mainly using AWI
