After finally deciding to do this project in 10mm rather than 28mm following many years of head scratching, the first unit is finished! I'm using Magister Militum figures and they seem fairly straightforward to paint. Some pics and a report on the project is up on my sons Blog here- Link |

Thanks for the comments. Really looking forward to getting stuck in to this project and yes there will be regular updates on the Blog. I quite fancy doing the Highland Brigade next. Anyone done tartan in 10mm? |

Just about to try the tartan painting! I have the Highlanders and Guards, so First Division at Alma. I am also doing it in 10 mm, mix of Pendraken and Magister. Have you sorted out a rule set? I have just ordered Neil Thomas' 19th century book, but also considering Fire and Fury variant. |

I've used Volley & Bayonet as rules for the Crimea. They've worked well, but have had to make British units had 3 strength points s they are not so brittle. I was looking at the Fire & Fury variant. I can't remember if it was the regimental set or just the normal set, but it did come out to be quite a lot of figures. I think we worked out it would need to double the amount I already have. |
