Are there any good superhero rules for a 6 and 9 year old range looking for something that's not to difficult. |

Heroclix seems like the obvious choice. Just avoid the more complex stuff (team bases, vehicles) and they should be able to play okay. |

Just make something up. Move, Shoot and Close Combat. Will take you 15 mins, max. I did that with my kids and they loved it. You can add detail as they get older and more experienced. |

The Song Of Blades systems are simple, and have a fun activation mechanic. Those that aren't set to your genre can easily be modded to do so. Just restrict the number and/or complexity of special abilities used, and you're fine. |

Does Gaslight or Song of Blades handle superheroes? As I said, SoBaH can be easily modded to handle most anything. Most fantasy special abilities can be renamed and reimagined as superhero abilities. And yes, SuperSystem, as I remember it, is also quick, basic, and entertaining. |

Our Toy Battle System rules Atomic Super Humans and Giant Monster Rampage work well with kids. I frequently have kids in that age range playing in my demos and grasping the game fairly quickly. -Ken Radioactive Press |

Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition. I don't think the rules for basic Ambush Alley are too complex for a 9yo or even a 6yo. Count how many guys you have, and how many have better guns, and that's how many dice to roll. Roll a 4 or better. If rolling to shoot Dad's troops, you gotta beat Dad's rolls (and can match a 4 against an 8 to beat Dad's 5 with a 6). I just suggest getting 10-15 of the Stargrunt dice sets from GZG (yellow d4, green d6, blue d8, orange d10, red d12). Makes it really easy to make sure you're rolling the right dice. |

a 3rd for the Basic Heroclix and a 2nd for Star Wars X-wing. Last w/e A four way Heroclix game. My 7yo son had spiderman, Wolverine & Bi-beast & 2 others. Bi-beast beat up Batgirl, Commis. Gordon, Hellboy & Clark Kent. Catgirl & Talia meanwhile duked it out (rowel
) Talia won after *PGR*. My son mopped the floor with everyone. He can roll 5 or 6's to order. He lost only (a very softened up) Spiderman AFTER we had Clayface pound him. (and even then THAT was a near run thing, blow for blow) The week before he played Star Wars X-Wing as a rookie Tie fighter against a fellow with his brand new Millenium Falcon. This nameless fellow scored 3 hits on my son. He evaded them all then returned fire scored two hits and killed Chewie (the co-pilot). Heroclix or Star Wars. or Ak-47 Republic. |
