Hi everyone,

First, I want to thank everyone for their well-wishes and support! It means a lot to have such a helpful and supportive community out there!

Secondly, the Drop pods have arrived at ClearHorizon Miniatures HQ and are ready to be dispatched!

Each drop pod order gets an assembly sheet and a Gruntz! Unit Card with special rules for the drop pod to use in your Gruntz games.

I will also be painting up a few this weekend, and doing a step-by-step assembly guide.

Please ask if you have any questions!

Thanks again,
Harold

Those will work great with my (Traveller) Imperial Marines,
Already thinking up a paint scheme/markings/weathering!

They look good any ETA on the Hell Divers? I would order them all as one group.

Sweet!

Lion in the Stars14 Aug 2013 9:42 p.m. PST

Very awesome! I think I have a few figures that will be perfect for those (in addition to the CH troops)

Does anyone have pictures of what the bottom of the Mercury, Gemini or Apollo capsules looked like after re-entry?

They look great Mr H. Are they complex to put together (ie – do they need instructions?)

Thanks guys! grin

My sculptor (Rod Campbell from Highlander Studios) just received the master cast dollies… so I'm thinking around a month.

They aren't complicated, but the "feet" on the landing gear might be non-obvious as to where to put them, and there are two different sizes of pistons (two long ones for the doors, and one for the landing gear) so I figured i'd make it easier and include a diagram grin

You can certainly leave off the pistons if you prefer, but it's nice to have the option to give it a little more detail to the model.

Back of the net!

Really nice!

such a great design!!!

i think i'd use them for 10mm or maybe 6mm tho because in 15mm they look only big enough to hold one guy???

I think they'd work great for smaller scales. They are designed to hold 6 15mm figures… two strapped into seats at each door.

It's a little tight, but military vehicles aren't designed for comfort :)

Here is an illustrated example:

im sorry i didn't mean anything buy it but i just look at the guy and the pod and he looks like he can only fit in by himself. maybe its his base, he cant fit it in the pod too!!! lol

No worries at all! It's certainly a valid question :)

And it's true, often with bases and the poses figures are sculpted it it's hard to see how they would fit in various vehicles made in scale.

Looking at real-world military vehicles it's amazing they squeeze so many folks in small spaces!

Thank you sir! They've been prepared for docking and the Glactus-Class strike cruiser is fueling up. They should be engaging their stardrive and be enroute to your position tomorrow.
