thinking about using the GMB flags, but they just list the regiment title with no picture. Anywhere on line that has pics or diagrams of ECW flags? At least then I can cross-reference with the GMB list to pick out a few things. Thanks! Did find this, not a resource but a shopping cart with pics! link |

WOW! Just WOW! really nice! I was actually thinking more along the lines of flag resources, historical pics, re-enactor stuff, but man these look good! |

There are beautiful flags for all different periods on that site. Thanks Paul. |

Luvverly work, but I'd take the unit attributions for a lot of the foot regiments with a pinch of salt. We simply don't know that much about ECW colours. |

Yep, there will be a (C) for conjectural, but I don't think all have been done yet. Wargames Designs posts as Cuchulann on the Warlord Games site and is usually happy to 'do requests', see his flags thread here link I'm happy to report that he did a lovely banner for the Gentlemen Pensioners based on our discovery at TMP! |

one conjecture is as good as any other. If the flags look likely or probable, it works for me. But sure, if it is just plain incorrect, that's something else. And here's some more: tmg110.tripod.com/british6.htm |

You have to go back to Peachey and Prince (still available fron Caliver) for all the relevant information on English flags. However conjectural some of Wargames Designs flags are he has at least produced the first correct Irish flags I've seen. And he is intent on doing a lot more, esp cavalry cornets from Index Emblematicus. And the flags are FREE! Wonderful |

since I don't want to pay $120 USD for a book, I must say that I heartily endorse his work! |

Just got my order from WARGAMES DESIGNS, brilliant quality and service . When i ordered this flags initially i forgot to ask to have them scaled to my figures, so default sizes were sent. Emailed Stephen , and within 3 days got the correct scaled flags F.O.C. Brilliant service, i know where to go for my infantry flags |

I just spotted this thread and I thank everyone who has said nice things about my flags. Just to say that the ECW range has expanded somewhat and will continue to grow and grow. They were originally free, but I had to change this just over a year ago when I was told that someone had started to sell them online as their own creations. The flags have since been reformatted at a higher resolution and some totally changed after further discussion and research. As for historical accuracy I have used all the available sources and as many of you know that doesn't make for a lot of flags. The rest are all taken from discussion with various people of sound knowledge and education guesswork, which is basically attempting to use something that would be in keeping with the period and armies. But again thankyou all and here is a link for anyone who would like to look at the range so far. wargamesdesigns.com/ecw.html

Wow- the index emblematicus has gone up since I bought mine- mind you its worth it as its absolutely stuffed with info and can also be used as a doorstop – it not being a small book |
