I was looking for some help ing finding 6mm WWI models. Both for Trench and the limited tank warfare. I would be really happy if I could find either British or German troops in 6mm wearing gas masks. Any thoughts? Thanks. |

Well most 6mm these days has a degree of detail. I have been painting some GHQ modern US models and the packs, boots, faces and helmets are all very detailed. If GHQ did WWI troops with gas masks you would certainly see them clearly on the miniatures. Look at this vehicle – the detail level is pretty good.

I don't know of any 6mm WW1 figures wearing gasmasks. This includes: Heroics and Ros; Irregular Miniatures; and Scotia Grendel. Robert |

I'm not aware of any either, but if you REALLY want some, it should be relatively easy to fake the filter with a dot of styrene in the area of the mouth (or perhaps a tiny blob of green stuff). The rest can be accomplished with paint – big eye lenses and the rest of the face whatever color the masks were. Doug |

I don't know how soon you want them, but Baccus are working on a First World War range. You could contact them and ask what figures are on the way. |

Thanks for all the notes. I will hang on for Baccus. I am sure there is a good market for trench-coat or gas mask wearing WWI types because it falls into the historical / pulp type profile where players might want to mix the miniatures into different game settings. |

The main way to tell is that the face area would be grey rather than flesh coloured. Robert |
