I've been looking around for French troops to use for Verdun and associated scenarios and found a few options. My favourites so far though are the Command Decision Blitzkrieg models. Are they suitable? And does anyone have any recommendations/favourites? |

For accurate late World War One French your options seem to be Minifig: link And Irregular: link |

I'd seen Irregular – they're currently my second choice. Did French equipment change all that much between the wars? As I understand it a single-breasted greatcoat was ordered but not widely issued, and new trousers came in which were slightly baggier. Apart from that, I thought their equipment stayed the same – apart from the hated Chauchat being swapped for the FM24/29; and to be honest I can't really tell them apart in 15mm. |

That is the main difference, the LMG and the cut of the trousers. Some were also issued the shorter MAS rifle, but I think many still had the WW1 rifles. Other than those differences, it was the color. |
