Having just released Irish for Tyrone's Rebellion, we're pleased to preview the opposition, the English foote:

Bvgger, I usually model my forces after the dominant army lists, which at the mo are the FoGR and DBR lists. The foot in the later Elizabethan period are pike and shot (bows and bills still being used only by some militias). Which swordsmen would you mean?

By the way, these are of course clibinarium's work.

Amazing indeed, Clib has done a great job on these.

Adventurers could perhaps include "Black Adder", to lead them (from a safe distance)?? Swordsmen could be useful as pirates & privateers.

The English used men with sword and shield for rough work.

The gentlemen adventurers were just that, accompanying the army and used to steady the troops or point up attacks. It was a high risk business but offered rewards at home or abroad. They would be fancier in appearance than the rest of the infantry.

Wow--these are wonderful! Really like the "manual of arms" loading position poses. Like the idea of "Gentleman Adventurers" and love the Count's idea of one E. Blackadder leading them, or rather ordering them from a safe position behind the lines.

These look really great, I just got the Irish and they are also wonderful. I can't wait to see the wars of religion stuff. Is there any possibility that you could round out the period in western Europe with Spaniards and Dutch?

Well, the English cavalry are the next build. I have asked clibinarium to make Spanish infantry however --

Three poses armoured pikemen
Three poses "pica seca"
Three infantry command
Five poses of arquebusiers

That's the next build after the English cav. After that will come the Spanish cav, of course.

That is wonderful news, Khurasan has got to be my favorite miniatures company right now. Thanks for covering a period that has been neglected for so long.

I am so much trouble already with the wife. But those look great. If the cavalry look as good, I can see my dreams of doing Lord Kalvan of Otherwhen coming true. Now if I could only remember which rule set I liked.

Will we be getting some Border Horse as opposed to just English Light Horse.? It would certainly make for a more colourful army.

Skeptic, Essex makes some liveried billmen & bowmen, though the look nowhere as nice as these. I could have really done with these guys six months ago!

And I guess I will hold out for the Spanish, this time.

I will wait to get into the period of Drake and Co. When Khurasan releases these. Magnificent detail.I will hold off until then.
