Hi, I have just been looking at the beautiful ECW range produced by Empress miniatures. I am contemplteing getting some but would like to know what other ranges of ECW figures they fit in best with, I currently have a large amount of both Renegade and Warlord games ECW figures but due to their incompatability was considering putting one of them on the exchange board. I think the the deciding factor will be which one dosen't fit with the Empress miniatures figs. Anyway I will be grateful for any advice, all the best…CH.

I think they will fit best with the Warlord figures. Renegade's figures are the largest I have ever seen.

Not sure if you can get to this (it's on Facebook), but this is a comparison shot of Empress and Warlord shotte:

NB, I am their US agent, but I'm also a client :-) I am collecting figures for Hopton vs. Waller. So if you contact them, be sure to badger them for Cuirassiers and Dragoons!

my ECW opponent uses empress with his warlord figs. they are taller, but not in a jarring way. the units looked great to me. you could put them in their own units if you really didn't like the height variation. the only reason I don't have any mixed with my warlord stuff, is that empress doesn't have Covenenters yet.

I happily mix Warlord, Renegade, Redoubt and Old Glory figures. I don't see why you say that Warlord and Renegade are not compatible. I think they are all compatible.

The Empress figures look very nice. Maybe a bit thinner and taller. I'd use them in a game with the other brands without hesitation. Probably in their own separate units as suggested by StCrispin.

I am collecting figures for Hopton vs. Waller.

Hopton, my main ECW man…

Empress ECW fits well with TAG's ECW/TYW miniatures too. Very close in most regards to both quality and historical accuracy.

Hi chaps, thank you all very much for some very useful feedback. I think I will now put the Renegade figures on the exchange board and the order some Empress goodies. Thanks again…CH.
