"Peter Pig may produce Russo-Japanse Infantry!" Topic

Peter Pig recently made Russo-Japanese era Japanese heads, suitable for all Meiji era battles such as Boxer Rebellion and Sino-Japanese War.

I asked Peter Pig on their Yahoo group about what bodies do they recommend for Japanese. Peter Pig answered that they made conversions for themselfs using Spanish Civil War Nationalists charging and Meiji era Japanese heads. Here are original Nationalists without head conversion:

Several people asked is it possible to share photos of converted figures and put them in a store. Peter Pig said that it is possible to buy them during next week.

I am currently trying to convince him to make 15mm Japanese. They allready have British, French, Germans and Russians for 15mm Colonial/VSF, and it will be good to have Japanese from Peter Pig (Old Glory oneas are dont match wel with Peter Pig). So please if you want these figures leave your reply here :)

Since PP own the masters, it should be a quick job for them to make a set of IJA troops. I'd certainly be in for a set of First Sino-Japanese War/Boxer Rebellion/Russo-Japanese War figures!

I would want to buy all of these, can you imagine the Boxer characters?

The unifrom of the Japanese infantry was kinda different though. and also they had a round canteen and their haversack was worn on the right side, not left. If you care about such stuff I mean!!!

All new figures are welcome though I'd prefer some additional 'universal' ski troops …

A definite vote for PP's seperate head range. I've used them to convert and reposition PP minis and added them to FoW minis to make them look like people :) (OK in some cases just barely).
