Howdy,

Here's where things stand at the start of Turn 3:

It's getting interesting, more to come …

Does each marker represent a particular unit (Division, Corps, etc.)? Do the players see this map? How long does a turn represent? How far do units move?

Thanks,

John

Howdy,

Good questions!

Markers represent Corps or Cavalry Divisions, as shown (although text is small here).

Players know types of units adjacent, and Unit ID's if in the same area. At this point the info on the map is generally known to players, so no problem posting here. The biggest giveaway by posting here is an update between the Russian commanders. However, I don't believe they follow TMP. If they do, I figure it's equivalent of reading the opposing sides newspapers.

One campaign turn is two days, the game is planned for 12 campaign turns.

Units can march two spaces per turn. RR movement is allowed if not adjacent to enemy. No Russian RR movement in East Prussia, and vice-versa, no German RR movement in Russia/Poland. There are command and control limits.

The Russian Army commanders can communicate via email, but must copy the German player.

The Mini-Campaign will be Scenario 5 in the forthcoming CD-ToB supplement.

Sounds great. The Strategic situation is quite interesting. Are there any additional units arriving? I ABSOLUTELY love the shared Russian messages (with the Germans) reflecting communication over open lines they did. That is an excellent touch! Please post any updates. I can't wait to see what happens.

thumbs up

Thanks,

John

The Germans do have reinforcements arriving, but they don't know when, only that they have been promised by HQ.
