For Field of Battle 2nd edition by Brent Oman, uploaded to my blog at: link This one was adapted from Rafael Pardo's fine scenario for Napoleon's battles (link to the original in the blog post as well). To be run at Historicon Thursday evening

For those of us who don't play FoB but would love to convert your scenario to other rules, what ar DDX and CDX? I have even more trouble converting NB scenarios. I presume the higher the number, the better those troops are.
Thanks for the scenario. |

In FoB, each unit has a Defense Die type, and a Combat Die type: DD range from D4 – D6 – D8 – D10; the higher the die type, the better the unit resists losses from fire. D4 = Militia/conscripts, D6 = most line troops, D8 = elites, D10 = guards. Russian Line and Jagers rate higher DD's than other nations to reflect their stoicism, with lower CD's to reflect relatively poor fire capability. CD range from D8 to D12+1 (D12+2 for some Guard artillery), and is used in fire and melee combat – the higher the better. LD = Leadership die, range from D8 to D12+1, higher is better. Guide to FoB:
