I am currently in Malta enjoying the sun and I am completely sold on wargaming the Siege of 1565 now that I have seen the place first hand. I haven't yet been able to find a list though of the participating knights and their nationality. Usually this forum is well informed so I hope that someone might have this information available. I would be grateful for any help.

All 500 of them?
with DOB and shoe sizes?

well I have read stuff, can't recall this list;
Have you tried the local museums, or the nowadays Knights?

they likely have this somewhere.

Well, it's fairly certain that one Jean la Vallette was present, and I vaguely remember that the only Englishman was his secretary, Oliver Starkey. No clue on the others, though.

On a slightly more helpful note, try and get hold of a copy of "The Great Siege", by Ernle (that IS his correct name…) Bradford. If you are currently in Malta that should be fairly easy – when I lived out there you could get it in any shop that sold any book at all!

Balbi di Correggia The Siege of Malta 1565

might have some more names in it too.

Thanks for your response!

I donīt care much for the shoe sizes :) but I would like to know from which countries they origin. I will make a sweep for Bradford and Balbi and see if that will give some clues. If I find anything I will post it. Cheers!
