I have no problem with "shameless self promoting" especially if the result offers ideas that I can use. I've have had what I would call a vanity website for the last five years. I love to show the results of my hobby and hope that those results offer ideas to others. The one thing I think I am particularly good about doing that I hope you and others will keep in mind when doing your "shameless promoting," please tell your readers the manufacturer of what is pictured or if it is scratch built, give some explanation for the process and materials that were involved. I know that after action reports and orders of battle are very popular with many if not most readers, but some of us (perhaps just a few) are more interested in knowing about the miniatures themselves. Good luck with your blog. Richard |

Please continue. I have always had a soft spot for the "Space: 1889" game so while I don't have 25mm RAFM legions assaulting the Krags of Mars, I can live vicariously through yours and other blogs. Other's work acts as an inspiration for me and gives new ideas of stuff to do/areas to game. Thanks for sharing. |

War in 15mm,I've been told the best thing to do when doing scratch builds is not to do progress report at different stages but a whole post on the build from start to finish. I'm trying to get into this habbit. My cloudships have been a very long proccess and I'm sat on pics which I'll add details. If you have anything in mind please feel free to ask. Thanks for your comments :) The Walker and patrol ship are from Ironclad,Gashant drawn the wagon is an old Lledo model. My rebels are from Warlord's American Indian Wars range.Which come with muskets and a mix of native and europen equipment which fits well into the Space 1889 story line. The classic Star Wars (desert skiffs) route is where I'm looking for to build screw galleys/steam powered galleys. Thanks again :) |
