Built this for our Red River/Fort DeRussy game at Historicon in a couple of weeks. Other than a few detail things like a flagpole, it's completed.

1/80 scale riverboat steamship model converted to 28mm by raising the height of the ceilings and increasing the door sizes. I made lots of the changes, the most obvious of which is the addition of armor on the first level.

Well done! I'd love to be able to play in one of those games.

I'm impressed.

Great job, it will definitely stand out on the table!

Very nice. How long it it take to build?

Very nice! Looks like it would be a lot of fun to game with. Patrick Hreachmark did a 28mm riverboat to do a gunfight in a year or two ago. Looked very cool.

Very nice work. The colors are interesting.

I started back in February, but I only really got busy on it in the past few weeks.

The wood decks have a blue-ish color in the photos, whereas in person they are more gray.

We'll also have an ironclad in the game, as I've noted previously.

Back from Historicon. The pictures do not do this model justice. The whole Fort DeRussy game was amazing!

Great stuff. What was your source for the colors? I have a 15mm "City Class" boat and I have the Osprey book but I can't tell what color they are. Black, grey?

Internet photos of models, Osprey, interpretation of B&W period pictures, and Tony Gibbons' WARSHIPS AND NAVAL BATTLES OF THE CIVIL WAR.
