Dear All,

picture

Please see the link below for the concluding Batrep about our 3 Day Gettysburg megagame. In some ways this day's play was a missed opportunity, but nonetheless, a standout day's gaming which provided a fitting climax to this most intense of wargaming experiences…

Thank you Sparker very much for the posts. The game was quite amazing and truly on an epic scale. You and your friends are to be congratulated on putting on a grand spectacle that makes most of us here hating the fact we are half a world away!

Thanks Tex, very kind!

Now that we have the resources, if you or your fellow countryment are ever in the vicinity of New South Wales we might be able to put it on again for you!

Gorgeous, just gorgeous, well done guys! I can only dream of that being the ONLY historical wargamer in the Philippines. :-)

Any of you Aussie blokes interested in emigrating to the Phil Sparker? We have beer, wargame figures, pretty girls and did I mention beer already? Plus you save a lot on shipping cost when you order from MMPS. LOL

Mate, had many happy sojourns in the PI, mainly around Subic Bay Naval Station and Clark Field AFB. I would not need much persuasion….

Alas the wife has heard about my younger self's antics there and would not approve these days….

But perhaps you could come on a business trip to NSW…we could lay on a game for you so you could assess your products in action – I'm sure you could organise a tax break on that premise!

great looking game. but the table needs alot more fences.

I had to un-stiffle you to take at peek at this.

I really like ACW so I was tempted – I did try to resist but …..
I have to say I'm glad I did take a look as this is quite impressive. Nice to see some real effort going into how the playing table looks – it sets your armies of most splendidly.

In particular the Devils Den which looks 100% better than that awful one in Wargames Illustated.

All 3 days as well – I think you all deserve a cold beer or two!

Truly amazing. All your efforts paid off! As so many others have stated, I wish I could have been there.

Instead, I sweated it out last weekend commanding a company on the wall at the Gettysburg reenactment. There is nothing like seeing 6,000 Rebs headed your way. Even knowing in advance how it will turn out doesn't prevent a chill from running down one's spine.

Love it? Wish I was there. Are your rules unit scale brigades or regiments. Looking at the number of figs I would say brigade.

Sparker06 Jul 2013 2:31 a.m. PST

No mate – Regiments! We used Black Powder!

Yes absolutely critical to a game of this size. They do detract from the photography somewhat, but the games the thing!
