Just watched the movie "Extinction"

Basically another zombie movie, but everyone changes to some form of a zombie because of a virus used to genetically modify food, and only a hand full of humans are not affected

All food is organic. Ask any organic chemist.

TheRatGod30 Jun 2013 11:53 a.m. PST

even most organic food now has something in it.

John the OFM30 Jun 2013 12:18 p.m. PST

Yes, organic chemicals!
DDT is an organic chemical.
So are benzene, toluene, anthracene, strychnine, MEK, and so on.

Just flavor it with bacon and it'll be fine grin

War Monkey30 Jun 2013 12:57 p.m. PST

I give it a three out of five rating, it wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either.

Gearhead30 Jun 2013 1:51 p.m. PST

Here's a good way to see if your food is organic: Apply high heat. If it turns black and crunchy, bingo! It was organic!

"It all started with some guy eating a hamburger bought at a Gas-n-Gulp".

See even in "Zombieland" it started with GMO :0

Apparently "organic", like many other English words, has more than one meaning. That doesn't mean we should intentionally misunderstand each other.

Sergeant Paper01 Jul 2013 2:56 a.m. PST

For instance, by misusing the word 'organic' as if it means pure and untouched by noxious chemicals?

chromedog01 Jul 2013 4:44 a.m. PST

Here, they tend to mean "organic" as "untouched by chemicals".

Little realising that Chemicals IS chemicals. Water is a chemical compound. The air is a compound, etc.

Pillocks.

Although I've driven past several plant nurseries and landscape suppliers selling "organic sand", too.

That's not sand, Pillocks. If it's "organic" it's humus.

Literal Nonsense01 Jul 2013 11:15 a.m. PST

also organic food can have chemicals put on it as long as they are 'natural' like, natural BT toxin – often quite alot of it too so its hardly "untouched by chemicals".

But come on guys this is a wargaming forum lets not get into heated and messy discutions about serious issues :p

I'm afraid many Americans are totally ignorant of the term "horizontal transfer" in regards to GMOs.

capncarp06 Jul 2013 3:33 p.m. PST

Beware of the extremely dangerous Dihydrogen Oxide!

Cacique Caribe06 Jul 2013 10:40 p.m. PST

Dihydrogen monoxide is deadly to many alien species, like the ones in the film Signs.
