I am really excited. We've been planning a full up regimental scale Johnny Reb III game for the 150th anniversary. On a lark we notified the local news. They sent a reporter.

Here's the interview.

I had to share.

"Toy soldiers" !!!

You've successfully knocked my arguments back a couple decades, here!

It says, right there on the back of the pack, "these are not toys. Ages 14 and up." I plan on having it crochetted and hung over the hobby table, some day.

Otherwise … dang, wish I could drive by and see for myself.

Good effort on getting it on the news

Thanks guys. We finished up this afternoon. I am calling it a Confederate moral victory. They made it onto Cemetery Hill and Big Round Top (barely). The caveat being that the union (due to a wicked evil GM (me) wasn't allowed to use II, III, or VI corps plus half the artillery reserve.

We wanted a game, not a slaughter.

It went well. Watch for notice of a blog post this week.

Hey, if toy soldiers was good enough for H G Wells it's good enough for me. :)

I DID consider it though and went with toy soldiers as something a "normal" person could understand.
