You are so right John, and itaphil, these maps would be perfect for campaigning. Itaphil, I have not seen any new pictures on your blog in a long time. John, its always great to see pictures of your figures. I wish I knew how to upload pictures, so I can show you my newly painted Austrians. |

Nice maps. Unfortunately there are some mistakes too.. My own hometown is portrayed as two different and distant cities with medieval and modern names, for example. And some cities in Russia wear soviet bolshevik's names. |

They are Malcolms maps, meant to engender difficulty in campaign maneuver with his system. They are in no way accutate geographicaly, but one finds them, with experience, as frustrating as any accurate road net would have been at the time. They are diabolical in their subtlty, intentional or not. |

I think Malcolm did a nice job in general, there are some sacrifices as he made them to work with his online campaign system so the march distance between any two towns on the map is represented as 1 day. Cheers, The Bandit |
