In another attempt to squeeze larger games into a smaller space, I played a game using GMT Command and Colors boardgame parts but using the Napoleonic figure rules by Neil Thomas, details on my blog for those interested in such variants. link link

I started this sort of thing a few weeks back. I have a Battletech terrain set, so 2 bases of figures fit well in the hexes. A table was set, but the edges of the foam terrain were past the table top. I decided to do a Charles S Grant scenario, with small units-6 infantry bases per unit, 6 per cavalry and a single gun with crew and limber for artillery. It looked nice, I adjusted Charles Grant's "The Wargame" rules to fit the hexes. I started out fighting it solo. Or so I thought. My curious cat decided to inspect the field. No big deal she usually does with no harm. I forgot about the over hanging edges. A flurry of claws, a flash of styrofoam and flying figures. Results were several broken old Airfix figures, a broken terrain square and a cat with injured gentility. I packed it up. Maybe later in the year
