Between IronClad Miniatures and Parroom Station I have managed to find figures for the entire League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, with the exception of Tom Sawyer. Can anyone recommend a suitable 28mm figure for Tom?

Here are a couple of pictures of him from the movie:

I don't really care if the figure has a duster or not, but bare headed would be preferred.

Any help would be appreciated.

No help, but could you give a list of what your using? I see the pictures have only the good doctor; have you a Hyde?

Thanks!

Doug

Good question. This is what I have come up with:

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen:

Character Parroom Station (Brigade Games) IronClad Miniatures

Mina Harker £3.00 GBP

Capt. Nemo $7.00 USD (w/Invisible Man) £3.00 GBP

Invisible Man £3.00 GBP

Dr. Jekyll $3.50 USD £3.00 GBP

Mr. Hyde $3.50 USD £3.00 GBP

Tom Sawyer ? ?

Is this what you wanted, or did you want a picture of Hyde?

Reaper has several cowboys that might serve in the Chronoscope line. link Looks like you'd need a head swap if you wanted a bare head, though.

rborges22 Jun 2013 9:59 p.m. PST

What about the Armed Archeologists from Cobblestone Castings. The one that is "not" Rick from the Mummy movies?

45thdiv23 Jun 2013 3:28 a.m. PST

Reaper also has a really good invisible man figure.

I think for the Tom figure cowboys are going to be your best bet. Foundry have a lot to look at. I seem to recall one that matches close the first picture of the group you have.

I know most of the above ranges pretty well but can't think of a "bare headed" chap suitable with long curly hair like the movie shots. Some ranges Custer would be good but he has a tash and beard :(

I have the "Rick" mini myself and though the chap may bare some vague ;) (I'm sure that wasn't the intention of the sculptor ;) being a chap of great skill and virtue)look to a movie character his got a rather short modern hair style unlike the LEG film. But its a very nice fig.

I'd say a head swap from another range onto a suitable body with a Winchester rifle.Maybe a Foundry Tarzan or a cave man with long hair?

Check out Foundry code OW5/7 the figure named Tobias Vaughn looks a good match.

Knuckleduster has a couple in this pack which would work after a head-swap. I don't think they are wearing spurs. Might need to trim off a holster.

Nice enough figures, and VERY good value.

There is an Old Glory cowboy figure, wearing a vest and bareheaded, which looks almost exactly like that.

Robert Burke23 Jun 2013 2:54 p.m. PST

I appreciate all the suggestions. The Foundry Tobias Vaughn figure has possibilities.

Unfortunately, I can't find any pictures of the Old Glory cowboys. Does anyone know where I can find pictures of them? Also, Old Glory is advertised as 25mm. How well do they mix in with 28mm figures?

badger2223 Jun 2013 3:19 p.m. PST

My Old Glory go well with my KNuckleduster figures as far as height. The difference is that the Old Glory Figures have a lot thicker bases, so just standonng next to each other appear a good bit taller. They also mix with Cowboywars figures, wich I really like for the mounted/dismounted figure sets.

Let me add a biot to this. it depends on what line of Old glory we are talking about. Cowboywarss is smaller thatn thier warpath stuff. I dugg out a bit to paint this afternoon, and warpath are a bit taller and bulkier than either cowboywars or Knuckleduster either one.

Not a new problem with old glory. And not what I was hoping when I ordered them, but xlose enough I will use them. And the question comes up of how many of them you need. If only a few, a couple off size are just normal human variation. If a lot more, it does look odd to have some units a lot larger than others.

But none of them are as large as Redoubt stuff.

Except for his mustache here is a figure in the Lord Curr's Company pack from In Her Majesty's Name that would suit very well. Bottom left

You're absolutely right! But aren't these figures only available as a set?

TheBeast Supporting Member of TMP24 Jun 2013 12:11 p.m. PST

For the time being; the demand seems good enough to focus on sets. Eventually, Nick will probably sell singles; didn't sound as if any contractual understandings barred such.

Normally, though, I'd suggest not holding your breath, but a bit of turning blue might help. ;->=

Thanks for your list, Mr. Burke!

I just noticed the guy in the center on the far right. He has an unbuttoned jacket. I can't tell if he has a mustache or not because of the way he is holding his rifle.

But I think he would work too.

No mustache.

I have Lord Curr's Company and if your interested in either of those figures or both let me know as I don't need them and I'm sure we can work something out. I bought the company for the Mohan Singh figure for a Nemo company I'm putting together. PM if your interested.

The new line of her Majasties name figs are really well done but pricy @ 27 for 9 unpainted figs. Try ororke in the aritzan thrilling tales range they do great castings as well. I am building a colonial/pulp campaign n use them.

DLIinVSF01 Jul 2013 10:54 a.m. PST

Talking about Artizan,North Star had posted a new range coming from Aritzan soon which could be used for VSF on their facebook page.

Not seen any pics yet but may something to watch out for.

shamoo03 Jul 2013 5:15 a.m. PST

I think that may be in her majesties name. the figs are really good. I am doing pulp now and use the old boothill rules find them very good. playable detailed skirmish combat

Robert,

Who's figure did you use to represent Dorian Gray?

I'm trying to find one and unfortunately I'm struggling.

Regards

Simon

dndgeek15 Aug 2018 11:07 a.m. PST

@simon wilson,

I know I'm very late to this party, but if anyone is looking for Dorian Gray minis, here are some options:

Mr. Dorian and Mr. Gray (2 figs), Element Games INF-FOP-04
link

Dorian, West Wind Productions COTD-28
link

Dorian, Stan Johansen Miniatures SP20m
link

Rum & Bones: League of Extraordinary Pirates Hero Pack, CMON
link

That last one is pretty pricey at $45 USDish, but it's a Kickstarter-exclusive set of 5 figs and the Dorian figure is kinda cool, with the mirror in hand. Maybe he could be found elsewhere for cheaper.

I have multiple options for all of the other characters too in the link below if anyone is interested, but note that I am using the comic character likenesses and abilities, not the movies, which are slightly different (no Tom Sawyer, for example).
