Are you looking to do a fairly "generic" force, or going for accurate livery colours as well? If the latter, besides more general advice you *really* want to get a copy of "Standards, Badges & Livery Colours of the Wars of the Roses" available from the Lance & Longbow Society or from Vexillia: link Dom. |

I third Dom's suggestion, it is the most informative little book you will find on the information you seek. They also do three books on the Heraldic banners and who they belonged to and a brief description of their participation in the wars of roses.Recommended |
