Gotta love this concept: link

Perfect for your Cold War, Black Ops, Super-secret Merc Squad gaming (would B.A. have refused to ride in this?).

Clearly, a miniature is required!

I still want an "Airjeep" mini, with a recoiless rifle option.

It never got off the ground in the UK, but judging by the CGI video demo, the concept was taken up in the USA by the Dukes of Hazard.

It never got off the ground? pun-tastic!

This is basically the same concept as the "Tumbler" Batmobile in Batman Begins.

LOL now that made me laugh.

Twelve directional fans fitted around the vehicle were to provide lift, allowing it to fly up and over obstacles.

Unfortunately for flying car fans, the projected cost of the project kept it on the drawing boards

That was there problem. Fans require a lot of expensive material, maintenance, logistics footprint, and operator training. They should have just done it with directed shape charges underneath.
