detailed AAR with photo's. Fun game of a style similar to Command and Colors but with a different engine to drive command and activation.

My brother and I have played that game a couple of times. It is worth the money and is well produced. I think it could easily be converted into a miniatures game.

I have played this using miniatures and it gives a very entertaining game.

Fantastic. Are you using a stand is a strength point or what?

They look splendid. Nice table.

Kallistra, who do hex terrain, also do a nice set of 12mm AWI figures.

79th PA,
yes you've got it, the casualty marker with the little die is recording excess hits.

The mat is from Holtz, and the game in 15mm. It plays very well.

Thanks for the AAR/review, verrry interstink.

I notice terrain is not printed on the map, but on counters. Is there more than one scenario to the game, so that terrain varies for the different scenarios?

^^Yes. The terrain pieces are laid out based on the scenario.

There is also a French & Indian War extension to this game.

Both Hold the Line and the F&I extension have multiple scenarios.
I do find that units tend to run from cover to cover. Staying in the open when the other side is in cover is suicidal.

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing.

Nice looking game, I do the same with a Hotx matt but in 40mm scale. I must say I find the HTL rules quite poorly. I prefer modified C&C rules myself. Looks great in 15mm though. Lots of depth to the units.

Nice to see some Polly Oliver on the table there as well :)
