One of my forever running scenery projects is Lake Town. It's meant for a Fantasy setting, with either Elves or Barbarians as the occupants.

Separate houses may also be used in a WWII jungle setting.

Last night I added the final sections to the causeway, so that's now ready for the paintbrush.

The causeway itself, so without the town square on the left, is a hair over 70cm long.

My apologies for the lack of contrast with the surface I parked it one, it was the only thing at hand.

The whole project can be found here:

Actually it's quite sturdy. Wouldn't want to stand on it, but it will certainly stand up to gaming.

Some very nice stuff as usual Gungy.
Those beads are indeed too good not to use.

I like that you engineer your stuff, I would just slap it together and hope it sticks.

Did you finish your armoured train by the way?

That's great! What kind of glue did you use?

I agree with AB about the engineering. When terrain is built with reference to 'real-world' construction techniques, there's no reason why it can't be both delicate and sturdy.

You do some excellent work! Thanks for sharing.

Engineering is perhaps a big word, but I do try to keep in mind how I would build the real thing.

Ninjasuurus, I use several kinds of glue, the main one is rubber cement.

20th Maine – I have a weed burner. The pipe is quite long – could mount a toy dragon round the end…
