Hi, I'm looking for some miniatures for MONGOLIAN GOAT RODEO. I need some heroically scaled Mongolian riders plus ponies. Preferably with shaggy hats and sheepskin coats. I also need a goat in scale. About 30 riders in 3 identical poses. So i might need to buy ten of one pose, ten of another and ten of a third. animated figures a plus. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Essex makes nice Huns. Does it matter that they are about 600 years out of temporal synch? They seem to fit your general description, and have nice action poses. |

They need to be reasonably sizeable, like 28mm. I'll take a look at Essex, thanks. |

link Check out BU22, Mongol Cavalry 3 Mark Copplestone has, in the past, agreed to sell me special mixes of his figures. Or you could just buy ten packs and have four factions. |

I got my goats at a model railroad shop, in an O gauge (1/48) set of prepainted plastic farm animals. Pretty good quality and the right size for heroic 28mm goats, but not very animated. They're just standing quietly, chewing on a can or something. |

Think Warlord Games do a 28mm livestock pack? Or maybe North Star |

Shouldn't this thread be banned? What do they intend to do to that poor goat? |

I have four bags of goats in 25mm in the batch of Frontier that I picked up last week. Single coats 50 cents + shipping. (more than the goat) |

When I originally wrote the game I used 15mm Ottoman Turk figures but I've also done it with 25mm Tartars. Any Asiatic cavalry figures will do. This is a game that has been around a long time. In miniatures I tend to use a pipe cleaner bit to represent the goat. There is a new version of he game out in stores now that uses cards like miniatures. It's the same game though. There is a YouTube video of it being played at Origins 2013. |

Didn't I see somewhere that the MGR International Invitationals are gonna be held next month? In Utar Drvul I believe I recall
Or am I confusing this with the Neapolitan sport involving similar protagonists, ropes and goats, albeit contestants are on foot? |
