Gribble was an official UK naval war artist covering WW1 and WW2. He also painted lots of galleon and pirate pictures. There is a major display of his work at Poole Museum Dorset UK. It carries on all year and is free. So if you are near, or travelling to Dorset UK, do pop in . The pictures are the originals and great to see close up. I enjoyed it a lot. Dorset also has Bovington tank museum, Corfe Castle PP workshops etc… a long list.
