Hi, just received some Old Glory figures. The trouble with them is that they have to be ordered blind as there are no pics on the old glory website and I have not had a reply to a couple of emails to them to ask about the figures. This is a bit poor as every other wargames company I have asked a question of have always replied!

When ordering them I was unsure which figures the Imperial Infantry pack (BOX15)represented and which figures the Regular chinese (BOX 16) represented. Now I know, so thought I'd share!
Anyway, the figures have a variety of headgear, Manchu hats, turband and a few 'coolie' hats. The pack is unusual as it contains two mounted officers without any horses! Well I'm sure I can russle up a couple of suitable horses from my spares box, but this is a bit weird!
The numbers underneath the figures show how many were in the pack. I apologise for the poor photo quality, but hopefully it will be of some assistance!

I've also put a picture of the artillery pack BOX17 at the end. You get three of each gun. One is an older style and one a more modern krupp type gun. You get four of each of the six artillery crew figures.

I have to say these figures do not look so good unpainted. Maybe when you have painted them you might post them again.

I like Old Glory figures but they are of very mixed quality even within the same range. Some of the FPW range for example are really excellent while others are very poor. The SYW range is generally good whereas the AWI range is not so good.

Thanks for posting

Regards

Yep, I might do some painted shots. Just wanted to give an idea of what was in each pack. Prior to ordering I googled and posted on here to get an idea, but never got a full answer. As I said Old glory didn't even reply, so I wanted to help anyone else in the same boat.

Yes Old Glory do vary. I think this range however is very good, although I don't like the heavily mixed European pack makeup.
Soem Old glory..seem to be made of brittle metal, so anything with bayonets is hopeless as they all break off!

What I don't understand is why some figures are so robust and others are so brittle. The worst I have come across are the French AWI most of whose bayonets fell off in the packet.

Yep, I agree. It's a shame as the sculpts are great, let down by the metal.

They aren't bad figures when painted up and mix well with Falcon (UK?) Chinese. I painted up a few battalions for a Sino-Japanese project that never took off.

Just contact them and they will send you a couple horses. This happend to me one time. I have had good luck with them on getting replacements.
