Does anyone know what this vehicle actually is? My guess is that it is post WW2, but the strange yellow/black paint scheme is puzzling me greatly. Obviously not intended for use on a battlefield? Perhaps an observation tank for manouvres/war games? Any ideas or more info? |

I have seen similar in Germany years ago. Can anyone translate the signs in front of the vehicle? VR James Mattes

The one sign states "feuerleit panzer" which I'm guessing to be some sort of fire control or fire observation. It is not camo, rather painted to stick out like a sore thumb. My guess is some sort of range control vehicle. |

"Safely" patrolling the range in your impregnable Sherman tank. Hope it was a small arms range! |
