Hi, just wanted to share a quick photo showing how some different ranges of Chinese figures stack up next to each other. I have tried to line the bottom of the feet up with the zero lines so that the different base thicknesses can be ignored.
The poses are different, but hopefully it will give you some idea of their compatablity. It isn't just the height that makes ranges incompatable but the chunkiness of the figures as well.

From left to right we have a boxer from Lancashire Games; boxer from Old glory; Milita/pirate from Grumpy Miniatures; Imperial musketeer from Irregular; Manchu bowman from Khurasan.

The Lancashire figures have a lot of character but are much bigger and chunkier than any other range. They are cheap and they have an extensive range. So if you want a standalone range then they are worth considering.
In my opinion you can mix the other ranges easily. Irregular tend to be a bit chunkier than the others. The figures look a bit dated compared to the other ranges but they are still ok and do some nice figures. Khurasan are beautiful fine sculpts.

Thanks for posting this. I was curious if Khurasan and Old Glory Chinese matched in size.

Cheers,

Thanks, this was very helpful. I recall reading on TMP that Blue Moon will have a Boxer Rebellion line added to their new Colonial range.

Yep. I would happily mix old glory with Khurasan. I posted a question on the blue moon fb page and they did confirm they will be releasing Boxer range, probably later this year, which is good news!

I'd like to see that Lancashire next to a 1/72nd figure. Looks like it'd work OK!
