I had a type 38 and can attest to its accuracy. The only problem is I am 6'1" and to get close enough to use the iron sights the bolt would hit my nose. But i'd place an empty casing on a tree branch and could hit it. |

My father brought back a 6.5mm carbine from the pacific..even had a couple of wooden bullets for it
they have since been lost in time (wood core with a copper cover) but in the early 60's Pop got a box of bullets from someone and we ran a few rounds thru it
the safest place to be was in front of it. It was a late war production and the receiver was good but barrel had a bit of warp to it. It does look nice hanging on the wall and IF I had ever to use it
would make an excellant club or with bayonet..a spear!! |
