Hi all, I have the osprey books on the YKW but they are not terribly helpful as to uniform details for the three major combatants. Any suggestions as to sources? Combat dress only. Thanks. |

I would recommend Chris McNab's books on 20th century uniforms. Not terribly in-depth, but he has some nice color plates and uniform/kit descriptions for '67 and '73. The books can be picked up cheap in discount sections of major bookstores. |

Men at Arms 127: The Israeli Army in the Middle East wars 1948-73
Men at Arms 128: Arab Armies of the Middle East wars 1948-73. (this has great illustrations of the Egyptian assault commandos battle jerkins.)
Men at Arms 194: Arab Armies of the Middle East Wars 2. This one has Volstads awesome illustrations. Elite Series 8: Israeli Defence Force since 1973 againg Volstads illustrated!
Elite Series 18: Israeli elite units since 1948 Volstad Uniforms Illustrated No.12: Israeli Defence Force 1948 to present (1985)
