The US military is developing a "stealth" motorcycle for use by Special Forces:

And yes, Batman, it comes in black.

…the bike can operate when submerged up to one meter.
Wow. Pretty cool.

I remember hearing about the Israelis using a hybrid motorcycle. runs on batteries for silence, but runs a lot faster on the gas engine.

Oh boy, just like Delta Force! ANd what was that movie with the high tech motorcycles, where the end scene was a motorcycle rocketing into the open rear hatch of the teams cargo plane?

Some people will do anything to beat the speed cameras ;-)

Gokiburi11 Jun 2013 12:23 p.m. PST

Ooh, does that mean that motorcycle-ninjas will be a thing now?
Because that would be awesomely ridiculous.

That is very cool. Needs a bit more F117 here and there.

Wouldn't you want to get rid of the brakelight though?n

Thank you for the link, Parzival.

Tom,

That was Mega Force! Classic 80's B-action gem (well, the vehicles were cool looking at any rate)……

Aggressive foot pegs and hand guards for optimal control

what on earth does that mean? (speaking as a motorcyclist)

So it's an electric silent bike with IR lights that runs for two hours.

Hmmmmm

I feel I lost a few IQ points from watching that MegaForce video. And I can't afford to lose any!

OMG who made that piece of crap?

@Xintao: hey, it was the 1980s. And the movie is much more entertaining with a couple beers in your system.

billthecat14 Jun 2013 9:24 a.m. PST

Do you still have to wear a helmet?

I'll scare you even more about that Megaforce movie. Think Barry Bostwick in a gold skin tight jumpsuit.

Now you won't be sleeping tonight.
