I like your miniatures, nice job. The laser cut buildings also look a lot better with the additional work you did on them.

I would love to do a variant like this,basically set in the August 1914 time period,also East Africa.Hat has a number of nice 1/72 figs either out or coming for these.I also like the idea of random event cards,activated by a special die from the cup.A red die would do nicely.

Great looking game. I also considered adding an event die to the cup for Bolt Action. Looks like it worked well – I'll give it a try.

Did the players know what was on the cards beforehand? So the issue was when these things might arise (recognising that a particular card might never be turned up) rather than not knowing at all what was on the cards?

I think that they would work really well for East Africa with the smaller forces engaged, I don't think that they would give the right feel for the 1914 european theatre.

No reason why they couldn't know, but it adds more uncertainty if they don't.
