I thought I'd get the Wargames Foundry book,
China: China – Organisation, Warfare, Dress and Weapons (Armies of the Nineteenth Century) [Hardcover] by Ian Heath.

I was pleased to get it for £16.00 GBP on amazon.uk instead of the £25.00 GBP advertised on the Foundry website! Especially as my landlord just put my rent up!

I couldn't find any reviews of the book anywhere, so will let you know what it is like when I get it….assuming anyone is interested!

Do post a review and if possible some examples of the illustrations would also be nice.

I love that book, got it years ago and really helped me with painting my Taiping Rebellion collection. All of Heath's books are really well done. All the illustrations are in black and white but the paragraphs often talk about uniform colors, flag colors etc.

An excellent series of books. Sometimes when reading the few I have I bemoan the lack of colour illustration but then tell myself to shut up and keep reading.
