Should be 28mm-ish. Secret Weapon specializes in base scenics and stuff for converting GW's plastic kits, these are presumably more of the same.

I think that casualties usually work on a battlefield: after all, this is about war, right?

But – I have to say – even I'm a bit upset by that. It has a ghastly, 'genocide' feel to it that I find really quite unsettling.
