Another 28mm Austrian battalion finished for my French Revolutionary War collection. 48 figures, took a bit of doing!

And some French horse artillery from that period:

Beautiful work, Dave. I am slowly working on my own collection using the Eureka figures, but my Austrian battalions are ony 24-man right now. Perghaps one day with a lottery win and a surfeit of spare time to paint I may beef them up to 48!

Cheers mate, yes 48 figures takes a bit of getting through, both in terms of time and money!

I do need to give Elite a close look, too. They look like very nice figures and a little variety in castings can't hurt.

As stated in the blog, Elite infantry mix well in separate units, but the cavalry are true 30mm (nice figures) and though it doesn't bother me, having them alongside Eureka cavalry may be pushing it for some.

I especially like your Austrians, although the French are good too!

I do really like the Elite line for the French Revolution. Peter has done a really nice job on them but I wish he would focus just a bit more time on releasing more figures for the line.

I've also got some Eureka figures for this period and they too are really nice. I would & could recommend both without hesitation.
