I have been gathering figures for some armies made with classic Ral Partha historicals in the 1200AD line. The Moorish line is fairly limited and I am considering adding to it with alternative figures. I have read here that the Old Glory "Revenge" line of Muslims from the Crusaders range are close to true 25mm. Having never seen this line in the flesh so to speak, was wondering if anyone had both the Ral Partha Moors and Muslim figures from old Glory and could comment on whether size-wise and stylistically they are reasonably similar.

Thanks for your help,

David

Ral Partha is true 25mm Old glory is a bit bigger and wouldn't fit well with Ral Partha.

David, I can't answer your question, but I have to congratulate you for your topic line.

So many topic lines here on TMP convey no information at all, and you have to click on the topic to figure out what the poster wants (and sometimes click on a link, because they're too lazy to give you any real information in the topic itself).

Topics like:
- A Question?
- Ral Partha Muslims
- Check this out (followed by an uncaptioned YouTube link)
- What ranges mix?

You get the idea.

But your topic line spells it out for everyone: You want to know how classic Ral Partha Muslims/Moors will look next to Old Glory Revenge Muslims. Nice!

So if I don't know the answer to your question, or I'm not interested in reading what others have to say about it, I can skip it and not feel like I might be missing something of interest to me.

But I did click on it, just to say good job.

Maybe you could put together an educational video for TMP, to show posters how it's done. And you can fund it via Kickstarter. grin

All that, and he still doesn't know the answer….

I would say NO, and I am notoriously round-heeled about compatibility.
I didn't like the Ral Partha Byzantine mix with others nor the Norman mix.

Ral Partha figures are more anatomically correct and don't mix well with the newer "heroic" style 28mm figures. They are much more slender than the Old Glory figures.

All that, and he still doesn't know the answer . . .
Well, to be fair, I *did* say that in the first sentence. grin

My understanding is that the Old Glory "revenge" line were made to be true 25's and not the standard heroic scale 28's of the Old Glory figures we all know and love (sometimes). The 1200 AD line from Ral Partha are quite slim, but I have found mix well with RAFM, who unfortunately don't have a Muslim/Saracen range. Any sugestions for a range out there that might mix well? I'd still like to hear from someone who actually has the "Revenge" line of Muslims as well.

Thanks for all the replies thus far, and as for a tutorial on writing a title line on TMP – I'd consider it in exchange for our dear editor renewing my suporting membership…..

Belatedly, my Revenge Scots mixed well with Garrison and Partha figures. I just wish I knew where to get some of the Revenge English now.
