For a little project, I'd like to do a band of 28mm "Zombie Hunting Biker Babes", a squad of about half a dozen well-armed women on motorbikes.

However, I'm a bit at a loss where to get suitable figs.

My first thought was Ramshackle Games ( ramshacklegames.co.uk ) , but their line's really a bit too post-apocalyptic; I want a feel closer to "the zombie apoc just hit", so more like contemporaray biker babes.

Amazon Miniatures came to mind, I know they used to have four or five different biker babes, but I can't for the life of me figure out if anyone has taken over that line.

IIRC the Shadowrun line had some female bikers, butr Ral Partha Europe ( ralparthaeurope.co.uk ) doesn't seem to carry any of those.

Fenryll has the "Amazon Country Bike", but that's really too large in scale and I hate their Bleeped textty resin that basically breaks by looking at it wrong.

Does anyone have any suggestions ( or a lead on whether the Amazon Miniatures line is still available somewhere ) ?

Ground Zero Games have a Biker Babe range that includes bikes.

Westwind might have something in their Road Kill range.

Hope this helps.

Reaper (Chronoscope) has a biker girl ("Peaches"?) who is unarmed but her right hand is easily converted to holding a pistol/smg. Also check Statuesque Miniatures…not very "bikerish" but there may be something there you can use.

Statuesque won't help, as they really need to be riding bikes. Will have a look at GZG, but worried they'll look awful small – isn't their stuff usually more true 25mm?

Some of the Foundry Street Violence may work?

Again, not a line that has actual BIKES. Otherwise, would be perfect.

You mentioned RP's Shadowrun line. Iron Wind Metals still produces that line, plus they're all readily available on the secondary market. In fact, all of them except Lone Wolf are currently available on Ebay.

The Female Street Samurai on Rapier, 20-541, $9 USD at IWM, usually goes for $7 USD-$10 on Ebay. She's more Asian than traditional biker-chick, but she's available and easily re-armed with a pistol, chainsaw, etc.

The Go-Gangers Gang Members on Bikes, 20-507, gives you a male and female biker, on foot and mounted, and goes for $14 USD at IWM, $10 USD-$15 on Ebay. Well, the girl isn't actually mounted, she's leaning on her bike. You could do an upper-body swap with the male rider, though.

The Go-Gangers Enforcers on Scorpion, 20-542, $11 USD and $10 USD-$15, are mounted on a cool tandem motorcycle. Again, a body swap for the male rider is called for.

There's also an Orc Biker on Scorpion (and on foot), 20-521, $12 USD and $10 USD-$15. Another body swap candidate.

Lone Wolf on Bike and on Foot, 20-581, $11 USD and $10 USD-$15. Another body swap.

Finally, there's the Ork and Dwarf on Heavy Trike, 20-543, $15 USD-$20. More body swaps.

That one line would give you a nice variety of bikes, and all in-scale with each other. There are also lots of Shadowrun females in the line to use for the body swaps, so they don't all look the same.

They're also not 28mm, more like large 25mm.

Westwind is a good choice if you are looking for biker chicks actually mounted on their bikes. Weapon swaps for more traditional zombie hunter weapons should be pretty easy.

I know a lot of people are down on clicky miniatures, but Wizkids had a pretty cool biker girl (Valerie Elle, #088 from The Lab set) in their Horrorclix game:

The front-tire wheelie pose is a little silly, but I think it pretty much goes without saying that you'd want to re-base and repaint the mini anyways, so it's probably kind of a non-issue.
