Blenheim? Very nice brushwork there smacdowall! I'm looking forward to getting some French done soonish as I have several projects going all the time. The French will be for the later 30YW and WSS games – inspired after watching Alatriste' again. |

Always loved Minifigs. Your paint jobs make them look great! I'm not sure I'd go through all the conversion work though! |

Blenheim? I think I recall reading that it was called Blindheim in 1704. Blenheim is the more modern name. |

I believe Blindheim is the German name, Blenheim is Anglicised. |

Well, being an Anglicized Norwegian-Scotsman living in the U.S.A., Blenheim is how I know it. I'm not up on the German versions – regardless – the brush work is still very nice, very impressive, and very much appreciated. I hope it instills many others to jump into the more than two centuries of warfare that comprise the Valois-Hapsburg wars. |

Blenheim is the battle as we know it and the name of the palace that Marlborough was given as a result of his victory. The actual name of the village the Guards assaulted (along with many others) is Blindheim. On the continent the battle is also referred to as the second battle of Höchstädt. Simon |

"On the continent the battle is also referred to as the second battle of Höchstädt. Simon" Simon, Head swapping is not my forte, but well done. Although British forces were not present at the first battle of Höchstadt 1703, it is worth a re-fight. link There are a further three postings covering the re-fight and game assessment. Good luck with Blindheim. Cheers, Robert |

I agree that First Höchstadt would make a for a great game. Certainly more manageable in terms of numbers! Simon |

Some more of the French defenders have now left my painting table. Two battalions of the Navarre Regiment (there were actually 3 present at the battle) and one battalion Regiment Provence. link Simon |

Nice work! My phone won't let me enlarge your pics which is a shame. I really like painting the minifigs WSS figs. Not unlike OG, people dismiss minifigs as being out of date, but I think their WSS range is as good as anything out there. |

I agree. I enjoy painting Minifigs more than any others and they have the most extensive range by far. Sorry about the enlargement problem jtipp68. Here is a close up of the French Foot from the Regiments Navarre and Provence. The NCO is converted Dixon, the rest are all minifigs link |
