Hey Everyone,

Check out this KS project. Looks amazing! A typical modern American setting for game design. According to the kickstarter video, the thing is fully transformable and made of more durable materials. What is everyone's thoughts? I, for one, think I might to add this one to my collection.

There's a bit of discussion about it here already:

Not for me (bulk and weight mean international shipping's pretty prohibitive) but it does look interesting.

I'm certain I'll be pledging.

Good evening all… just want to say thanks for the support. We are working hard to bring a quality product to the gamming masses….. Let me know what everyone thinks….thankyou

Dom,

I had heard from a friend that Danimal, the guy behind the KS, is working on a redesign of the largest piece (the floor) to accomadate shipping in a smaller container as a direct result of some of the feedback from TMP members. I posed the question to him and will forward his reply as soon as I hear from him.

Good NEWS –
Here at Aftermath Mods we have found a way to cut back on shipping for all those International Gamers.
We found that by dividing the base sheet in half (now 8.5" x 11") we can ship in a smaller box ….thus creating a less expensive postage package… it will NOT change the Coverage of each pledge package , just double the base sheets…. It will be a little more work for the pledge (there will be 2 base sheets instead of one so a bit of gluing), but well worth the savings.
Here's the breakdown
The $55 USD and $65 USD Pledge will go from $60 USD to $40 USD.
The $100 USD and $120 USD Pledge will go from $75 USD to $60 USD.
The $150 USD and $180 USD Pledge will go from $85 USD to $70 USD.
The $200 USD, $240 USD, $250 USD, and $300 USD Pledge will go from $100 USD to $70 USD.
The $500 USD Pledge will go from $100 USD to $60 USD as a thank you for pledging such a large package.
For those of you who have pledged with the old pricing please feel free to change your pledge to the less costly option.
We hope this help lessen the sting for our international friends…. And let's get this thing funded…
Thanks,
Rick

Danimal06 Jun 2013 4:47 p.m. PST

Almost there!!! just 37% to go until complete funding and first of several stretch goals….. A very huge thank you to all who have backed us…..

Danimal08 Jun 2013 1:12 p.m. PST

I spent the day at the Ann Arbor Mini Maker Faire had over 2000 visiter and had a blast….. more important we put the model thru its paces….. over 500 kids all over the model…. we found out that this model is both sturdy and stands up to 9, 10 and 11 years old and older lol…. it was a good test to see the durability of the model and how it would be percieved… we got a few pledges and more promises of some to come….. we also got a huge amount of contacts that are so very excited about the next model to be developed….. all in all great day!

Hoping the last few days is as phemominal as the last 10 …. thanks to all who have pledged and lets

hope we make this goal…..

I got a chance to see this kickstarter project in person at the Ann Arbor Maker Faire (6/8/13). It looks great! The colors, overall shape and finish are better IMO than what I'd expected from seeing it before hand on the kickstarter page. It's hard to do a three dimensional object like this justice with an essentially two dimensional medium like a computer screen. I think Aftermath's Modular Warehouse deserves to get to all of it's stretch goals!

Darth Mortim10 Jun 2013 8:49 p.m. PST

It's funded! Can't wait to get mine!!! Onward to the stairs (stretch goal)!!!

The Angry Piper11 Jun 2013 4:46 a.m. PST

Right there with ya, Darth!

Danimal12 Jun 2013 7:41 p.m. PST

COMPLETED!!!!!!!!
Stretch Goal 2, $7,000 USD: Take your game to a whole new level, literally! This stretch goal opens up the "level up" add-on. A set of stairs allowing you to allow PCs and NPCs alike to move to the "next map" (although you've hidden the artifact in the warehouse, the code to unlock it is in the second floor office) in your campaign. This adds even more to the versatility of the design! Unlocked!

Danimal17 Jun 2013 8:16 a.m. PST

Everyone should check out the new stretch goals on this….
