Is it me or have Foundry dropped this range from their site now that it's been 'improved'?

Rudi the german02 Jun 2013 2:54 a.m. PST

Nope, thay are dropped…some are in old west.. Rest gone.

Cazador. I found that if you knew the codes they would pull the molds out andd cast up what you wanted. Thay did for the Mexicans I needed for a Camerone game. Regards Alan

Thanks guys.
Alan, could be a way forward, thanks for the idea.
As a general comment, I find it incomprehensible that Foundry would just drop this range. As far as I remember it was not one of the dodgy ones, au contraire even.
Ah well, now I will have to go away and think carefully whether to order anything else before more ranges vanish!

I have lots of Foundry Max in Mexico; probably more than I need. Let me know. Hal

The old Richard Houston line of 25mm "Viva Juarez!" figures are about to be re-released by TVAG.

No, not the sharpest knives in the drawer, they have the charms of being essentially identical in size with the fine Foundry range (whether they are available again or not), and being FAR LESS expensive.

The line includes Belgian, Austrian, Sudanese, and other units (foot and horse), besides a wide selection of various Republican troop types, as well as Mexican Imperial units.

At about $25.00 USD to $30.00 USD per pack of 20 foot or 12 horse, with command figures included, they can be bought to "bulk up" a collection for a fraction of what it would cost to buy Foundry figures, especially from the UK.

Color photos of painted samples may be seen on the "Mikeopolis" Blog Site of Mike Frang via these links:

The new "Viva Juarez!" Page at TVAG should be going up soon--possibly in the coming week!

Hi Rudi – contact me at halthinglum@aol. com – thanks – Hal

CooperSteveOnTheLaptop04 Jun 2013 2:57 a.m. PST

They are decent figures, I have some, but could I recommend the Gringo40 range, which are in a different league?

cazador04 Jun 2013 4:34 a.m. PST

Dear Hal,
Many thanks for your kind offer. Given the circumstances I have decided to put this project on the back burner, at least for the time being.
Best regards,

Stephen
