Maybe I'm the last to know, but Mega Minis is closing and today is the last day to place an order. Dang!! freeboardgamesnow.com I need to scour the catalog carefully now, before it's too late. I have a bunch of the colorful Arabian civilian figures, but do I have ENOUGH? |

What the duece? THAT sucks! Please somebody buy the molds, and don't let them die. |

Well, technically he's closing up shop on 12/31. He's just starting to sell off the molds beginning tomorrow. |

Sorry to hear that. A real shame. Sadly, I don't have the ability to legally print money, so will have to pass

Yeah, today is not the last day. It IS the last day for 100% availability. From his site: " Customers have until the end of May to place an order on all current inventories. After that time, products will be removed from the online store as molds sell to new buyers. We will maintain ample metal supplies throughout the entire year to fill 100% of all orders placed as the clock ticks down to Mega Miniatures last year in business." Thanks, John |

I placed a pretty big order two days ago. No telling if, where, or when some of those figures will show up again. |

I had to place a big order as well. (There are a lot of sheep in Spain.)I am not worried when the stuff arrives as long as it does. |

I prematurely panicked, but still, got in an order today for a mixed lot, before the catalog begins to shrink. |

Methinks the days of the $2 USD USD figure are fin. :( In metal, perhaps, but Reaper Bones says otherwise if you don't mind plastic. They aren't all that cheap, but there are some. |

Mega Miniatures will be missed

I agree about Reaper. I bought a lot of stuff from Mega Minis. However, once the price went to 2 dollars I slacked off. 2 bucks for older 25mm figs simply wasn't as great a bargain for me. His in house figs were never really good sculpts, but they were functional. He is a great guy and I wish him the best in his future endeavors. I think Reaper can possibly fill the void and more. The Vampire release covers a lot of genres and the pricing is likely to be superb if it follows previous Bones releases. I am looking fondly towards their arrival while I have already moved on from Mega Minis a few years ago. Thanks, John |

I've seen the Reaper Bones plastics, and they kind of remind me of Airfix figures on steroids. I was told by the local game store proprietor that paint had come a long way since I was a kid. I would like to believe him but if Reaper goes completely plastic, as I was informed they were considering, I can only hope that some other company fulfills mass-market figure requirements in metal. I know it's just me, but I even avoid crisp resin figures if they are available in metal, and sometimes even if they are not. I have lived too long. Too many institutions are vanishing before my eyes, leaving us ever closer to the void of electronic entertainment and mind-numbing misconceptions. Sigh. |
