I have some great Timecast buildings for 6mm in the ECW-Napoleonic period, but wanted to supplement them especially with appropriate bridges. What other manufacturers blend well with Timecast--would JR Miniatures bridges work well? I know that generally JR buildings are smaller than Timecast based on the few I own, but I didn't know if bridges and other accessories would look out of place. |

The bridges and other stuff would not look out of place. It's only when you look at buildings and compare things like door hieghts and overall hieght that you'll see some oddities. I think I've got 6mm buildings from every manufacturer there's ever been, including the fish tank and playset crews. The secret lies in how you group them so you keep a continuity of style. |

I wouldnt mix Timecast and JR as they tend to be at the opposite ends of the scale, size wise. Try Gamecraft or TBM or theres a German company (used to be Najewitz Modellbau) but dont know the name now. Cheers Kieran |

I can heartily recommend Total Battle Miniatures. Great products and service. The stone bridge is very good. The central pier is made higher off the ground than the ends to allow for it to sit on rivers that are placed on the table, such as resin rivers. There are two pieces provided to sit under the central pier if needed. One brings it level with the ends. The other will make the central pier higher than the ends, for use with recessed rivers. There are also two pieces to place at the ends to link to road systems. Very well thought out (especially compared with the products of many manufacturers which only work with their own stuff and sometimes not even then). Have a look at the buildings and other products too. The walled town is a thing of beauty. I used it recently to represent Leipzig in 1813. While I have many JR buildings, TBM is well and truly a cut above in quality terms (as, for that matter, is Timecast). |
