I plan to paint two armies of French and Germans in 10mm, 1915. Figures will be Pendraken. My basic plan is to first spray it black, then a strong drybrush with the basic color and highlight with a lighter color. Finally pick out hands, rifles, rucksacks, blankets and such. But I have never painted in 10mm and advice is always appreciated. I know that colours must be kept brighter than normal as the figures are small. I also appreciate some advice on which colors to use. The French wore blue but in 10mm what blue should I use, first for the basic color and then for highligt. I generally avoid mixing colors, that takes too long. I want to use GW:s or Vallejos. |

I painted my French with artistic acrylic colours. However you can use any colour you prefer For the Horizon blue: 1)white primer 2)medium blue base colour 3)light blue drybrush 4)dark washing, a mix of black and dark brown, or black and dark blue 5)a light drybrush with light cream or ivory |
