Please help me with finding information about Japanese uniforms during 1920-1930? I really want to buy these Peter Pig Japanese for Interwar, but I dont know from what year this uniform was introduced.

The development of IJA uniforms detailed here:

It appears they wore virtually the same cut of uniform from 1886 until 1930, albeit in different colours and the introduction of puttees.

The biggest difference from the WW2 uniforms pictured above is the hat, they wore a peaked flat topped cap.

iirc Irregular do RJW/WW1 era Japanese, or you could do some head swaps on the Peter Pig figures.

Wikpedia tells that in 30's 5shiki Gun-i/Type 5 was introduced:
The Showa Type 5, also called the M90 or 2590 or 1930 uniform was basically the 1911 uniform but introduced internal breast pockets with scalloped pocket flaps on the tunic for all ranks. Also the straight trousers were later replaced with pantaloons which were worn with woolen spiral wound puttees and tapes.

And I suppose M98 uniform is same that was used in Soviet Japanese late 30's wars and WW1.

So, if uniform of 30's was close to WW1 uniform but with spiral wound puttees, I can take these Peter Pig figures:

and headswap them with these heads?

There is a new pack of Russo Japanese (Japanese) heads due out next week. Peaked and tall cap.
